Honda Owner Link Service Reaches One Millionth Member
New Services To Include Web Chats And Online Accessory Purchases

Owner Link, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.'s Internet relationship management initiative has enlisted more than one-million members since its inception in October, 2001.

"Owner Link has demonstrated its value to more than a million Honda and Acura owners as a convenient and easy-to-use customer resource," said Steve Center, assistant vice president of American Honda's E-Business division. "By providing Web access to information specific to the customer's vehicle, such as product updates and service history, we have simplified the process of vehicle maintenance while improving the overall ownership experience. We couldn't be happier with the early success of the Owner Link initiative and the positive feedback we have received from our customers."

Owner Link provides customers with a personalized web page and access to an extensive variety of services including vehicle-specific service and maintenance tips, model specifications, vehicle operation and roadside tips, dealer information, sales and service offers, and customer contact information.

Additionally, Owner Link provides owners with e-mail notification of relevant product updates and recall information. Owner Link customers using Honda Financial Services can also access account information and make on-line payments on line. Honda and Acura customers can sign up for their personalized web page at any time through the Honda.com and Acura.com Web sites.

Honda developed Owner Link to serve as the foundation for online customer relationship management among its dealers, their customers and American Honda Motor Co., Inc. The Owner Link initiative includes a complete suite of business services that allows dealers to manage their Owner Link portfolios and communicate with targeted groups of customers. By registering their customers on Owner Link, dealers are able to expand customer service, fuel loyalty, and increase revenue potential.

Honda will continue to expand the capabilities of the system to better serve the needs of its customer. As early as next year, Owner Link will add vehicle- and subject- specific hosted Web chats and on-line scheduling of vehicle maintenance appointments at Honda and Acura dealers. Also, Owner Link will allow users to order Honda and Acura genuine accessory equipment on-line for installation at their dealer.
