As part of its future growth plans and efforts to better serve the media, Honda Power Equipment has named Brian D. Johnston as its national public relations person responsible for the company's Marine division located in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Mr. Johnston first joined American Honda in 2002 as part of the Honda Marine inside sales team. He also has held various other positions within Honda, including his most recent with the Power Equipment sales and logistics administration team. In his new capacity, Mr. Johnston will serve as the liaison between Honda Marine and J. Addams & Partners, Inc., the Atlanta-based, full-service public relations firm. "As the agency of record for Honda Power Equipment, J. Addams & Partners will support and strengthen Honda's growing presence in the marine sector, executing a cohesive, marketing communications strategy for both American Honda operating divisions," said John Fulcher, senior manager, Honda Marine.
Prior to joining Honda, Mr. Johnston provided public relations counsel for
Boys & Girls Clubs of America as well as Atlanta's Woodruff Arts Center.
Mr. Johnston holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations from The University of Georgia's Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
