Acura Expands Line-up, Projects Sales Increase

Acura automobile division will introduce four new models during the next 18 months and projects 1994 year end sales results to surpass 1993 levels, the division announced at the North American International Auto Show today.

Two of the four new Acura models will go on sale this spring: the new 1995 open-top NSX-T and an all-new 1996 mid-luxury sedan, to be unveiled next month at the Chicago auto show.

An all-new top-of-the-line luxury sedan will be the next model to be introduced, followed by Acura's fIrst ever made in the USA model, during the spring of 1996.

The introduction of Acura's U.S. built model will contribute to the company's North American expansion strategy while making Acura the fIrst luxury import automaker to design, engineer, develop and manufacture an automobile in the U.S.

Acura maintains its position as the top-selling luxury import nameplate since 1987, while for the second consecutive year, the Integra GS-R was named to Car and Driver Magazine's prestigious "10 Best Cars" list.

With the introduction of these four new models, Acura projects 1995 model sales of approximately 110,000 units, with sales continuing to climb throughout 1996.
