Acura Shatters November Sales Record

Acura posted its best November ever including record sales of the all-new TL performance luxury sedan and the MDX luxury SUV. November sales of 14,423 units shattered the previous Acura record of 13,645 set in 2001 and betters November 2002 sales by 24.7 percent based on 25 selling days for the month.

In its second month on sale, the dramatically redesigned 2004 TL sold 5,608 units. That number eclipses the previous record of 5,233 set in 2001 and marks a 49.2 percent increase compared to last year. MDX sales of 4,940 units shattered the 2002 record by 12.4 percent. Year-to-date MDX sales climbed to 51,493, up 7.9 percent compared to last year. The TSX sports sedan remained very popular with November sales of 1,745 units pushing year-to-date sales to 17,081.

"Great new product has been the key for Acura this year," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president, sales. "The introduction of the all-new TL, combined with continued strong sales of the MDX and the TSX have given us some great momentum and we're looking forward to a strong finish for 2003."
